Opposites Attract | Orange & Pink

Opposites Attract | Orange & Pink

Inspired by the Candy table image from a wonderful real wedding some years ago, I designed this hot pink fading to orange Infinity Sign wedding invitation set.

‘Tis the Season for Engagements!

Vintage Tea Stained Wedding Collections 1 & 2There’s no more romantic time than the holidays for getting engaged – and many do!  As you turn your attention toward the many details that will suddenly become very important to you, take time to enjoy the process of defining what YOU and your intended want your wedding to represent to your family and friends.  Fashions come and go, but your wedding should reflect both who you two are and who you hope to become.

Be inspired by fashion and color trends, but don’t be a slave to them!  What have you always loved?  What will you likely still love 25 or 50 years from now when you look back at the pictures of the happiest day of your life?

Timeless elegance is just that!  Vintage modern strikes a lovely balance between the timeless values that make for a great marriage (after all that is the point of all of these festivities) and a new world that continues to rapidly grow and evolve.

Through the generosity of Karen at The Graphics Fairy: http://www.graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/, I have been able to combine several of her antique images with antique inspired fonts and new watercolor teastained backgrounds  and create the lovely wedding sets above.  With the magic of Photoshop and the ability to blend modern watercolor artwork and vintage elements these sets came to life.

There are two distinct sets that are completely mix and match-able.   The first set (shown above) was introduced this time last year.  If you click on the image it will take you to that product in my store.  There are also: Rehearsal Dinner Invites, Save the Date Announcements, Bridal Shower & Couple’s Shower Invitations as well as mailing labels, envelopes and reception decor items.

This second set is new this year and was designed to coordinate perfectly with Set #1.  We’ll be adding additional items as the season goes along, but don’t hesitate to ask us for anything you don’t see.  Please use my Zazzle Store contact email as the one attached to this blog does not function correctly and I won’t get your email 🙁

What is Zazzle?

Print Your Own Birth Announcements!

I have had a couple of questions about Zazzle, so I thought I would explain it.  Zazzle is a print on demand service that allows an image to be placed on a wide variety of products.  They usually ship orders in 24 hours and virtually all items can be personalized or customized so there is tremendous freedom to make the perfect gift, announcement or invitation at a very reasonable cost.

This morning I designed a baby boy and baby girl photo birth announcement.  This birth announcement has a place for your own baby’s photo, weight, length, date and time and is 8″ x 4″  and all of this is only $1.10 per card!

LINK TO ZAZZLE STORE In the left column of my blog is a flash slide show of my Zazzle products.  It’s pretty small in order to fit the column constraints, but if you place your cursor at the right corner it’s a link to the store.

Now, all I need is a new grandchild to announce, LOL!

My friend, Lucy Hampton brought an image that I had placed in my blog to my attention today.  I created it some time ago promising a kit to come shortly, well….  I had forgotten about the kit altogether and it was “lost” on my hard drive!

I had created six, 12 inch premade scrapbook pages and they were just sitting there waiting to be uploaded to the store.  It’s a little scary when your hard drive(s) are so big you can lose your work and not even remember you were working on it.

Ah well!  These are perfect for spring, so the timing is great.  If you scrapbook, you know how much time it can take just to find your pictures and develop your theme.  With quick pages all you have to do is drop your photos in behind the layer, size them and then print out your page.  If you don’t have a printer that can print 12″ pages, you can take them to office supply stores and have them printed onto photo paper very economically.  In fact some of my friends that scrap, feel it’s better quality at a lesser price than it costs to print at home!  You can also reduce them to 8″ size and print them on letter-sized paper to use either in an 8″ album or even place and 8″ page on top of a piece of 12″ store purchased paper and add a little bit more to complete your own unique page.

If you don’t scrapbook, consider the other uses for quickpages.  You can reduce the size, add a photo and some text and create your own announcements, invitations or greeting cards.  You can even send an image like these with your photos to your favorite photo lab via email and print out beautiful Wedding Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations, Tea Party Invitations or create your own greeting cards.  I especially love receiving photo greeting cards, my refrigerator is covered with them.

Thanks so much for the reminder, Lucy!
