Last Year’s Easter Take Out Box Freebie Still Works

Easter Freebie Take Out BoxIf you go to this post http://www.daisiecompany.com/blogs/audreyjeanne/?p=74  I had made a freebie take out box with my Gerbera Daisy kit and I the links etc. are still active.  If you didn’t grab it last year, enjoy it for this year while I’m gone!

To download the project you will have to click on the link above, then click on the picture in that post.  That will open a window that will lead you to the download.

This is an easy print, cut and assemble project that is suitable for most upper grade school aged children with a little help.  For smaller children you might want to cut and assemble then let them decorate with glitter etc.

Have fun!

An Easter Freebie Bookmark For You

freebie bookmark, easter, lamb, sheep, crossAs I have been working on the new Easter/Spring kit "Celebrating Spring" my thoughts turned towards the Easter celebration that is coming so quickly and I want to create several little things that can be used by Mothers, Grandmothers, and Sunday School Teachers to let little ones know how much they are loved.  That is ultimately the essence of the message and sacrifice of Easter.

I’ve created this little bookmark for you to down load.  All that you need to do is click on the image and it will take you to the download location.  Enjoy!

We (fingers and toes crossed) will be going to visit our new grandson (and maybe his parents too :-)) tomorrow and I’ll be gone for a couple of days.  We’ll hopefully have time to post some pictures before we head out for a week’s vacation in the Bahamas.

So posting will be pretty light.  We’ll be home March 1st and will be right back at the creating, perhaps with a little island twist to it.

A quck reminder to new readers.  We have a drawing twice a month where I give away a free set of digital graphics.  All you have to do to enter the contest is to post a comment on any post that I make during that month and we draw randomly from those comments to pick the winner.  The drawing is on the 1st and the 16th of the month (assuming I don’t forget LOL!)

This bookmark can be uploaded by clicking on the picture which will start the process.  This freebie is subject to the terms of use at THE DAISIE COMPANY (www.daisiecompany.com)  please don’t pass it along directly to your friends, direct them here to get it.

This gives you the tiniest preview of the Antiqued Victorian Pansies 3 set which will feature some wonderful paisleys that you can see in the background of the bookmark!  I hope you’ll enjoy.  Please feel free to pass this link along on any message boards, yahoo groups etc. that you are part of.  If you do and you post a comment as to the group address that you posted it to, I will email you another special freebie as a thank you!

BLOG CONTEST WINNER FOR JANUARY 15-31 IS THE 11TH POST ON THE 26TH DAY, CONGRATULATIONS!  She wins the Antiqued Victorian Violets Paper Pack 1 (if she hasn’t purchased it already, if she has, we’ll adjust for her!)

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:1 Cor 13:12-13
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. NIV

PRAYER:  Lord, when these words were written, mirrors were warped, dark reflective surfaces that didn’t perfectly "mirror" the image being reflected but gave a shadowy glimpse.  So many days when I think about you, heaven, the life that is to be and the life I am leading now, I feel like I only have that shadowy hint of what is to come.

But faith, hope and love help to guide me along that path to the place where one day I will see clearly, face-to-face.  Give me the strength to continue walking along that path each day and help me to know and feel you love for me as I am making the journey.  Amen

THE CHRISTMAS STORY:Luke 2:24-35
The Prophecy of Simeon

25 Now there was a man named Simeon who lived in Jerusalem. He was a righteous man and very devout. He was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he eagerly expected the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. 26 The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27 That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, 28 Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,

29 “Lord, now I can die in peace!
As you promised me,
30 I have seen the Savior
31 you have given to all people.
32 He is a light to reveal God to the nations,
and he is the glory of your people Israel!”

33 Joseph and Mary were amazed at what was being said about Jesus. 34 Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, “This child will be rejected by many in Israel, and it will be their undoing. But he will be the greatest joy to many others. 35 Thus, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.” NLT

Free Gingerbread Man Cookie Recipe Card & How to Get Into the Spirit of Christmas!

Free Gingerbread Man Cookie Recipe Card & Blank Recipe CardI find that traditions, music and fragrances have a lot to do with the "Spirit of Christmas."  What are the traditions in your family?  What have you done in the past that has become a precious memory now?  Doing those traditional things at the start of the season goes a long way towards "Getting us into the Spirit of Christmas."

Some of the best traditions are food and smell-related.  I think that there’s something special God programmed into us that ties memories and emotions with smell.  So I’m going to try to help you along today by providing one of the most notable smells of Christmas free for you as my gift!

To download this free gift, just click on the picture and a window will pop up.  It’s a jpeg file that most all computers should be able to handle and print.  I included the individual card(s) and created a layout that you can print, fold and glue to make a perfect two-sided card if you haven’t worked with graphics before.

Are you struggling to get into "The Spirit of Christmas" this year?  The older we get, sometimes the harder it is to find the magic of Christmas.  I’ve been listening to a couple of local talk show radio broadcasts and have heard that lament from many people and yet a lot of others are calling in saying they’re enjoying the season immensely.  I’ve heard an interesting common thread in those that are in the mood….

They’re thinking of others and doing things for others and not waiting for the "feeling" to happen!  The other callers seem fixed on the feeling to start doing the fun things related to the season.   If you want to get into the Spirit of Christmas today, maybe making a plate or two of gingerbread cookies, printing out the recipe card and tieing it on with a lovely ribbon and taking it to a friend’s house, your child’s classroom, the teachers at school, or a nursing hom will be just the thing to bring the magic into your own heart!

Another way to get into the Spirit of Christmas is to remember the Reason for the Season.  One way I’m doing that this year is by including a portion of the scripture’s account of the first Christmas each day.  You can go back through these posts to right after Thanksgiving to start with us if you wish, or pick up your own bible and start at the book of Luke in the New Testament.

THE CHRISTMAS STORY:  Luke 2:1-7
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to his own town to register.

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

THE CHRISTMAS STORY: Luke 1:38-45
Mary Visits Elizabeth

39 A few days later Mary hurried to the hill country of Judea, to the town 40 where Zechariah lived. She entered the house and greeted Elizabeth. 41 At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

42 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, "You are blessed by God above all other women, and your child is blessed. 43 What an honor this is, that the mother of my Lord should visit me! 44 When you came in and greeted me, my baby jumped for joy the instant I heard your voice! 45 You are blessed, because you believed that the Lord would do what he said." NLT

Happy Thanksgiving all!

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  1 Thess 5:12-18  Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  NIV

A Thanksgiving Freebie Gift From My Heart to Yours

Thanksgiving Napkin Ring Freebie PreviewI am getting ready to go to San Diego for the weekend so I wanted to get this up early for all of you to have time to make for Thanksgiving.  It is designed to coordinate with my Thanksgiving Decor and art kits:  http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r300/Audreyjeanne/blog%20photos/AJROB_preview_napkin_ring.jpg  http://www.daisiecompany.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1700  http://www.daisiecompany.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1699

I made the loop intentionally large enough to make a napkin ring or a small candle ring out of it.  Simply cut to size if you want to make the napkin ring, add the layers using 3D foam tape or dots and you’re done.  I printed mine on brochure paper and glued it to cardstock.

pumplin, indian corn, leaves, thanksgiving clip art napkin ringsTo download your freebie, simply click on the top picture and it will take you to the site.  Look in the lower right hand corner for a small line that says "download original size."

I am thankful for each and every one of you.  You are such a blessing to me, so I hope you’ll let me be a little bit of your Thanksgiving celebration!!!

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  2 Cor 9:8-11   And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."   Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.  You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.  NIV

A Winter Snow Freebie For You Today! By Audrey Jeanne Roberts

children with snowman link to downloadI received a very sweet note from a reader in England who notice a little typo in one of my kits from last year (OH MY!!!)  So any of you that purchased "Warm Winter Memories" either late last year when I first came to DAISIE or when it recently went on sale will need these replacement files.  So, I thought I might as well make it available to everyone as an early winter celebration!  Think SNOW!!!!!

I admit it, I’m a little touched in the head, but I just LOVE SNOW!  Part of that is growing up in San Diego, California and living there for 46 years.  It snowed twice during those years (and of course didn’t stick)  So when I moved to the mountains 3 years ago, I am absolutely in heaven.  My husband (ex-Minnesotan that he is) is sure that I’ll get sick of it one day, but I really don’t think so 🙂

To download your files, all you have to do is click on these links and they will take you to the download page.  http://www.4shared.com/file/26706002/a66fbe7a/AJROB_TEXT_childhoods_fleeting.html

Preview of Warm Winter Memories Clip Art Kit, snow, snowmen, snowman, girngerbread manThe kit at left is the kit that these pieces are sold in.  If you are interested in seeing what else is available in the kit for purchase, you can click on the kit picture it will take you to the DAISIE COMPANY store.  It’s a very fun kit for winter projects like snowman soup and other food goodies!

When you arrive at the download links look in the bottom right hand corner and you’ll see the very small download button.  The Terms of Use on Freebies is personal use only (unless you have purchased the kit at Daisie and then the usual Angel Policy applies).  Feel free to let anyone else know about the freebie that you think would enjoy it, but please point them here rather than share the file directly.

THE PROVERB OF THE DAY: Prov 17:9-12 9 He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. A rebuke impresses a man of discernment
more than a hundred lashes a fool. An evil man is bent only on rebellion; a merciless official will be sent against him.  Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly. NIV

COMMENTS:  to cover over an offense as spoken of here doesn’t mean to cover up a crime or anything similar it means to have someone offend you and not to make a big deal out of it, or to see someone doing something embarassing for instance and not running around telling people about it.  The person who gossips, who runs and tells others about it stirs up contention and brings shame on the individual.  A rebuke is another term for a correction (the word rebuke sounds harsher than it is  meant to be).  The man or woman who wants to discern right from wrong, good from evil appreciates being corrected and takes it to heart where a fool can be beaten almost to death and not get any wiser.  Have a great day!

Peony Cottage Quilt Digital Art in Gift Bag & Cards by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

For those of you not familiar with The Daisie Company’s Message Board, there are several games during the course of the month where you can win free digital clip art gifts.  One of those game is a Bingo game that begins at the start of each month.  This coming month, I will be supplying the prizes for the game and there will be three of them.  If you don’t play the game, these same kits will be available in the store, the beginning of November.

I created these Peony Cottage Quilts as a test for a potential fabric line (not yet licensed if any fabric companies are interest )  They turned out so cute that I’ve since developed a few sets of stationery goods based upon them.  I plan to create an entire art set in both the blue color way and the pink color way once I have the time to create again.  Right now I have 3 major licensing projects in the air at once so there isn’t a lot of "play" time to be had!

If you go to http://www.daisiecompany.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20021  you can find out all the details.  Have fun!!!

THE PROVERB OF THE DAY:  Proverbs 25:4-7  Remove the dross from the silver, and out comes material for the silversmith;  remove the wicked from the king’s resence,
and his throne will be established through righteousness. Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence, and do not claim a place among great men;  it is better for him to say to you, "Come up here," than for him to humiliate you before a nobleman.  NIV

Yippee It’s Fall! A Thanksgiving Freebie For You to Celebrate With

Click here for link to downloadI LOVE FALL!!!  I love all of the seasons for different reasons, but because I just really don’t like the hot, hot, hot days of Summer, I welcome the change to Fall like no other season.  When I got home from the Las Vegas Memory Trends Scrapbooking Show a couple of days ago, the weather here had turned cool and now we’ve had stormy skies and 60 degree temperatures.  Right up my alley, now all I need is a foot of snow (I know, I’m a sick puppy!)

If you click on the image above, it will take you to a site where you can download the bookmarks.  On the right hand side of the screen about 3/4 of the way down you’ll see a small button labeled "download."  All you have to do is click on that button and follow the directions from there.

I’ve been working all day on my kit for the DAISIE CLUB next month and it’s all about Harvest and Thanksgiving.  Which got me thinking about how thankful I am for all of you regular readers (about 500 or more a day on average!)  This blogging experience has been an amazing one and I feel that I have grown so much through it.  I’ve made some wonderful friends, had a lot of fun and enjoyed sharing my life with you in the process.

These bookmarks are a free gift from my heart to yours.  I hope you’ll enjoy using them to say "Thank You" to all the special people in your own life.  The simple two-word sentence, "Thank You," goes a long way in relationships.  Even if you have told someone before how much you appreciate them, you can’t say it too much.

Feel free to let anyone you know would enjoy this gift know about it, but please send them here for the link to the download rather than simply passing the file along.  I’d like to meet new people as we’re entering a new season.

Happy Fall!!!!
