So I’ll show all of the previews here and my helper will probably be able to help me figure it out when she gets back from her weekend away.
This set is called “Nature’s Christmas” and has an elegant, woodsy feel to it. I love to alternate between glitzy glamourous Christmas decor and then a more natural feeling Christmas. My favorite place to celebrate Christmas is up in the mountains at Hume Lake Christian Conference center, especially when they get an early snow. This set captures those wonderful memories for me and I hope will help you create some very special memories this coming holiday season!
I want to remind you that there are only 133 days left until Christmas. If you are like me and want to do so much but never quite get it done. Think of one project you can work on this month and get it done. You’ll feel so good about it that it will give you the momentum to keep going — honest!!! The years that I’ve done that have been such fun and special holidays. It’s so much fun to have “guiltless” holidays. If we stick together we can do it!!!
Thank you each and everyone that has emailed me to say you’ve missed my blog and hope that I’m okay! I have been absolutely buried under deadlines for my new fabric line with Fabric Editions that will debut in September. It’s called "Chocolate Love" and when I can finally show you the previews I’ll let you know. It will be available in fine quilt shops all over the USA but I don’t know about the company’s distribution outside of America.
These digital art kits were inspired by a magazine spread I saw some years ago about antique French wallpapers. The papers they showed had such an amazing, faded, distressed but incredibly elegant feel to them. I’ve tried to capture that feel while designing a contemporary art kit that woud be useful for creating greeting cards, crafts and scrapbooking.

I remember how incredibly they fragranced my entire room when I tucked them inside my sock drawer. They were both such talented ladies, the knit, tatted, embroidered and crocheted great masterpieces. I wish they were alive today to see the way their genes have been passed along and how I create with a unique set of gifts that have come from the same family "stream of creativity."
Each sprig of lavender that was painted to create the plaid "trellis" of lavender, was painted at full size from stalks I hand picked at a local lavender farm near where I used to live in Southern California. The experiece of picking your own lavender is one I highly recommend if there is a farm near you! At first I was frightened because there were thousands and thousands of bees buzzing all over the place. I’m very allergic to their stings, but though the bees buzz all around you, they aren’t the least bit interested in humans as they are practically drunk on the nectar of the lavender plants! The smell of thousands of lavendar bushes is too awesome to describe and the lovely purple hues of the hillside with the sun shining in a clear blue sky is a picture I have stored away in my heart and mind forever.
