Brand New Little Boy Card Making Kit

LINK TO CARD MAKING/INVITATION KIT IN THE STORE

This brand new kit is perfect to make for an invitation to a Baby Shower for a little boy!  All you have to do is add your invitation information inside the card.  This card can also be made up as a Welcome card for a new baby, a Mother’s day card or an encouragement card for a tired, young mother you might know.  The saying on the front is “Oh so true,” isn’t it?

I’m always on the lookout for quick, easy and different ideas to make card crafting kits for my customers.  This week I was searching my voluminous hard drives for something else and I stumbled on a large line of these designs I created years ago.

It occurred to me that they would make awesome cards and I am excited to start getting them to you!  There will be lots more of them coming soon.

Each card kit comes with a 3 3/4″ x 9 1/8″ card in two version.  With the text as shown and blank for your own text.  These cards fit a standard US Business size #10 envelope, so if you’re in a hurry you can make just the card or you can decorate a pre-made envelope with the included sticker set.  It also comes with a matching envelope you can print and assemble for yourself.  There are also two 3D bookmarks, one with text and one blank.  All of this comes for $5.98, which is just a little more than the price of a single store bought card and you can use them over and over again.

Let me know if there are any occasions or relationships you would be especially interested in and I’ll work on those first.  Now back to that hard drive to see which one I’ll do next, LOL!

Finally! Back Up With Two New Kits, “Contemporary Christmas 2”

I still am having the same issues with my Hosting company (it’s time to call them again and see what’s up!)  But I figured a workaround for the picture posting and I’m able to upload kits and downloads so we’ll be okay until they get things worked out.  Soooooo… back to the post I was planning to post when I discovered the issue!

LINK TO KIT IN THE STORE My beautiful new Christmas art has a contemporary feel yet also hearkens back to our memories of a Classic Christmas. Playful penguins and elegant reindeer add a little touch of whimsy while the red, aqua and blue color palette mixes together to create a fresh new look. This kit has 30 pieces to it including 4, 12” papers, 2 borders, 7 frames, 2 tags, 2 text/word art pieces and 9 art pieces.

LINK TO PAPER PACK IN THE STORE The second in the series, there is also a 14 piece paper pack that has been created to coordinate and make creating Christmas crafts, cards, tags and scrapbooking easy to accomplish.

These kits are on sale.  The sale was scheduled to end this weekend, but due to the blog issues I will extend it’s sale through the end of the month!

Congratulations!  She wins the paper pack I created to go with this month’s club selection "Lavender Fields"  I’ll be previewing it tomorrow and it will be in the store probably tomorrow.

For anyone new, I have a blog contest twice a month and all you have to do to enter is leave a comment or comments on any and all of the posts for the two week period.  The next contest will be drawn on the 16th of May.  Good Luck!

Free Strawberry Clip Art Digital Recipe Card With Recipe

Strawberry clip art, recipe card, strawberry chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, crafting, scrapbooking, freebieTo show you what can be done with the "Berry Sweet" Digital Clip Art kit available from www.daisiecompany.com, I thought I would make a recipe card with it and then of course I had to search the web for a great recipe to fill it in with.  I found this website after googling "healthy cookies."  The site is http://heart-healthy-cooking.suite101.com/article.cfm/berry_chocolate_oatmeal_cookies

I’ve created this freebie both with and without the recipe on it so you can put your own scrumptious strawberry goodies on a beautiful card and maybe even give them away to brighten someone’s day!

To download the file, simply click on the image and it will take you to a 4shared.com downloading site where you’ll be able to retrieve the file.  It will take about 30 seconds or so for the link to download to show up.  It will be in the center of the page.

Feel free to share these with friends either by directing them here to my blog, or by including all the files that are in the folder so that they know the terms of use and who the art was created by.  So if you have a message board or yahoo group that you like to share goodies with you have my permission to do so.  Enjoy!  Now, if only I had some strawberries and chocolate chips handy… must write it on my grocery list 🙂

I’ve Been “Terrified” to Say it Out Loud…

for fear something will happen AGAIN and I won’t get to see my grandson, but we’re going to San Diego tomorrow!!!!!  Yippee!!!!  No one has the sniffles, the car(s) are running, the puppy has a place to stay for the weekend… what else haven’t I thought of?!

We’re so excited to finally get our hands on our little bundle of joy.   Well… I’m assured he’s already over 11 pounds so I’m not sure how little his bundle is.  It’s hard to believe he’s already 5 weeks old.  So, I won’t be writing much over the weekend, but I will be enjoying myself immensely and taking lots of pictures.

I got my cruise pictures back but haven’t had time to sort through and post some.  I’ll probably do both when I get back.  I’m trying to rush out a couple of kits for the next week or so.  I ‘ve been working on two new add-ons for "Paper Flowers Collection."  Ideally they’ll be waiting for Lynnie to upload before I leave, if not as soon as I get home Tuesday they’ll be in the works.

Our son comes in from Dallas tonight.  We are looking forward to spending some quality time with him and actually all four of our children at one time in one place.  Something that is harder and harder to accomplish the older they all grow 🙂

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  Prov 17:6  Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.  NIV

PRAYER:  Lord, I don’t feel very "aged" even though I’m now a grandmother!  Well… if I’m being honest, there are some mornings when I might feel my age a little more than others.  Life has gone so fast and it brings to mind how much faster my latter years will likely pass than even my earlier years.  Please help me to be aware of ways I can be a blessing to my children and "children’s children."  Remind me to pray for them, to call them and to be a presence for blessing in their daily lives.  Let me be the kind of mother and grandmother that truly is the pride of my children.  AMEN

The Winner is…

Cheryl Angeland!  Who snuck in at the last possible second to nail it!  However, I’m going to send the font to all three people that jumped on board this crazy last minute contest 🙂  So look for an email!

It was at 2:03 PM (which registers at 1:03 PM because my blog didn’t correct for Daylight Savings)

The Final Surgery Results Were Fantastic

As I literally came dancing into my doctor’s office this morning ready to tear the eye patch off myself, my Doctor was dancing along with me!  He’s so much fun and a great doctor.  My first eye test on the right eye was almost 20/20 which is even better than the left eye was for a couple of weeks.  I actually had to take off my glasses today except when I was wearing my sunglasses (clip ons)  We’ll have to see how things work when I’m painting etc.  I have a lovely bloody looking eye, but it doesn’t hurt and is no big deal.

Thank you to each for the wonderful messages of encouragment and praising God with me.  I have about a million things I want to paint and spent the day luxuriating at Barnes and Noble studying tons of magazines for trends, color palettes and ideas for my next batch of art.  Now if I could just touch a magic wand to my head and have it jump onto the paper!!!!

I didn’t get to do any work today on finishing the previews for the rest of the strawberry kit so stay tuned over the weekend.  I’ll get them up soon.

The Blog Contest Winner is….

Commentor #12 on this post: http://www.daisiecompany.com/blogs/audreyjeanne/?p=333  Congratulations to the winner!  If she doesn’t already have the set she was commenting on I’ll send it to her as her prize, if she does I’ll pick another one.

I’ll be getting back to work on Monday, today is destined for napping, laundry and cleaning as we recover from our week’s vacation!  It was a very, very restful time.  We were on a business trip but had more fun than doing business usually entails.  We met some very wonderful people and ate waaaay too much food and managed to sleep in most mornings and nap most afternoons.  It was perfect!

I’ll post some pics later this week when we get our 6 rolls of film back so stay tuned!

Blog Contest Winner is…

The eighth comment on the eleventh day.  Congratulations to the winner.  She will receive the "Winged Jewel Paper Pack 2" which isn’t in the store yet!  I hope that she will enjoy the prize.

I started work yesterday on a brand new series of kits for Easter/Spring that are bright and fun with a touch of whimsy.  I hope to have some previews for you later this week.

My dear friends Dolly spied out my blog to see the pictures of my new grandson and discovered my post about her lovely budding stars in our church Christmas play!!!  She has the most adorable and precocious girls.  They are so smart and fun (just like their parents!)  Thanks for the visit Dolly!  I also received a special visit from an incredibly talented designer in the CHA, Denise Clason who is also going to have her first grandson in a couple of months.  Congratulations, Denise.  I really missed attending CHA this year, but with the baby coming and life in an uproar it will just have to be next year before I get to go again.

Have a wonderful weekend and congratulations again to the winner!

More Hummingbirds ‘n Butterflies!

hummingbirds, butterflies, dragonfly scrapbook digital clip art, scrapbooking, hybrid scrapbookingI finished the rest of the previews late this afternoon and decided to post them tonight before I go to bed — maybe I’ll actually sleep in tomorrow 🙂  Actually, I’ve been waking up too early for some reason and I’m just not a great morning person, LOL!

paisley, butterfly, violets, dragonfly, butterfly, hummingbirdThe second preview gives a large view of the collage-based paper as well as the plaid and tossed violetspaper that is included in the set.  Saturday’s preview will show the paper pack of coordinating papers some of which (like the paisley) are seen in the tags and banners.

I have several of these collage art creations that I’ll bring out this year.  They were put together by an exceptional graphic artist that has done some design work for me over the past couple of years.  Her name is Mara Aeran and her work is phenomenal.  I’m so appreciative of her talent.  More to come!

Just a Quick Note

Before I run down the mountain for my yearly physical!  The "Antiqued Victorian Pansies" digital clip art kit is in the store today.  It will not have all the elements you have seen in these pages.  There is so much art that there will be several sets (a text box set, a frame set, at least two paper packs, at least two art kits etc.)  The Instant Album set will probably be one of the last of the kits released as I am working on it as I develop the sets out.  Have a great day!

First Peek at “Antiqued Victorian Pansies”

Antiqued Victorian Pansy, scrapbook, scrapbooking, quick page, page templateAt the end of a 14 1/2 hour day (time flies when you’re having fun!) I just couldn’t wait to show you a peek of my newest kits.  I’ve been painting like crazy today and putting the art together in a lot of interesting, antiqued, textural feeling ways.  I am just starting to play around with it and see how things are working together in the color palette and color values etc., so I threw together a quick page to see how they felt and voila!  Here’s your really early sneak peek.

It’s quite a shift from "My Heart’s Garden!"  But that’s what I love to do best, work on a lot of different styles and feels.  Hope you’ll enjoy it!

Happy New Year, Y’all!

We managed to stay up just past midnight (which is pretty good for old folks!) We’re watching the Rose Parade and packing to head home. Back to real life (boo hoo!!!!) Lots to do and lots to paint in the New Year.

May God bless you abundantly in this new year and bring you and your loved ones great joy.

I’ll draw for the prize tomorrow when I get home so there’s still time to post comments and get in on the drawing! Have a relaxing day.
