Thanks, Lucy! New Instant Scrap Book Pages in the Store Today

My friend, Lucy Hampton brought an image that I had placed in my blog to my attention today.  I created it some time ago promising a kit to come shortly, well….  I had forgotten about the kit altogether and it was “lost” on my hard drive!

I had created six, 12 inch premade scrapbook pages and they were just sitting there waiting to be uploaded to the store.  It’s a little scary when your hard drive(s) are so big you can lose your work and not even remember you were working on it.

Ah well!  These are perfect for spring, so the timing is great.  If you scrapbook, you know how much time it can take just to find your pictures and develop your theme.  With quick pages all you have to do is drop your photos in behind the layer, size them and then print out your page.  If you don’t have a printer that can print 12″ pages, you can take them to office supply stores and have them printed onto photo paper very economically.  In fact some of my friends that scrap, feel it’s better quality at a lesser price than it costs to print at home!  You can also reduce them to 8″ size and print them on letter-sized paper to use either in an 8″ album or even place and 8″ page on top of a piece of 12″ store purchased paper and add a little bit more to complete your own unique page.

If you don’t scrapbook, consider the other uses for quickpages.  You can reduce the size, add a photo and some text and create your own announcements, invitations or greeting cards.  You can even send an image like these with your photos to your favorite photo lab via email and print out beautiful Wedding Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations, Tea Party Invitations or create your own greeting cards.  I especially love receiving photo greeting cards, my refrigerator is covered with them.

Thanks so much for the reminder, Lucy!

DEVOTIONAL:  Have you ever had everything in your life change in the space of a day?  Sometimes it happens for good, but more often it happen through either a tragedy or just unexpected and difficult challenges.  A phone call in the middle of the night.  A pink slip in your paycheck.  A look at your bank balances and a dawning realization that something seriously has to change in your life if you are to make it through.  I’m convinced that change should have been a four-letter word!

On a September day twenty years ago, I picked up the phone to answer a call and heard the words, “The biopsy came back positive for Melanoma, your husband will need to come in to my office to discuss treatment plans.”  Absolutely everything in my world changed that day, though I wouldn’t fully comprehend just how much until 3 1/4 years later.  All the same, I felt so disoriented and uncertain.  Just the day before I had my life well mapped out and was fairly certain of where I was heading and in 24 hours I was lost and felt very alone.

Then there are those marvelous, mysterious days that bring wonderful changes.  I remember the day I met my husband to be — once again I thought I knew the path I was walking on and the destination I was headed towards, but in the space of just a few weeks everything in my life had changed!  I learned though, that even good change is unsettling and stressful.  Change is always a challenge to find a safe and secure path to walk on.

Sometimes life changes come one upon another leaving you no time to get your bearings.  It helps so much to be prepared in advance with the understanding that changes will come.  The only consistency in life is its inconsistency.  So whenever change comes knocking suddenly at your door you need to remember this scripture and hold tight to it so that it can, in turn, hold you steady in the storm.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  Ps 37:5-7  Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.   Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.  NIV

PRAYER:  Lord, sometimes it seems like everything about my life changes in the space of a day.  Yesterday I thought I knew where my path was taking me and today I find myself on an entirely different path.  Help me to remember that You know the path You have intended all along for me to travel on.  Help me to commit my way in your hands and walk in the light of your will and your ways.

Help me to sit still and not squirm like a little child asking constantly, “Are we there yet?  Where are we going?  When will we get there?”  Help me to sit still before you, wait patiently and not fret when things don’t seem to be going the way I imagined they should!  AMEN

Working Towards an “Instant Scrapbook Album” Kit

Scrapbook page, digital scrapbook, wedding, bridal shower, pansies, pansy, victorian(UPDATE: THIS KIT IS NOW AVAILABLE IN THE DAISIE STORE, JUST CLICK ON THE FIRST IMAGE TO GO THERE) As I’m putting together these quick pages to test how the kits are working together, I think I’ll set this one up for an "Instant Scrapbook Album" as I think it would be perfect for Bridal Showers, Weddings, Special Events and just plain girlie layouts.

wedding scrapbook, bridal shower scrapbook, digital scrapbookingI think I’ll set up the pages perhaps with the text as I show it and without any text so you can customize them easily.  It takes a little more memory and time for the download, but not that much for the convenience.

In addition to this kit, I already have another Wedding "Instant Scrapbook Album" kit that I put together before Christmas and forgot about!

bridal album, wedding album, scrapbook, scrapbooking, digital scrapbooking, rosesI’ll work on getting that into the store in the next couple of weeks so that there will be a couple to choose from.  That kit is in soft pink roses with gentle greens and creams.  There will be an optional add on section in bright pinks with a brighter green as well for those brides who like their color with a little punch!

I will also release the font that I’m using with the "Antique Victorian Pansies" Kit, it’s called "Audrey Jeanne’s Swash Italic Font" and is a hand lettered calligraphy hand.

Christmas Scrapbooking “For Dummies” Contemporary Christmas Instant Scrapbook Album

This album set is GIGANTIC at 132 pieces, PLUS the instructions, PLUS the photos of my page layouts for the "less than creative among us" and PLUS the blank templates to place your photos behind so that you can perfectly cut them to fit the book.  It will retail at $9.98 for the complete set which is an amazing deal when you look at the per piece price.

Christmas Scrapbook, Instant Album Digital Clip Art Kit, scrapbookingThis Contemporary Christmas Collection is a perfect mix of elements that will appeal across the generations.  My daughters adore it and my 84 year old Mother in Law loved it as well.  These instant album are awesome to give as premade Christmas gifts that the recepient can easily customize with the photos they take Christmas day.

These albums are so easy that if you have never Christmas scrapbook Instant Album Digital Clip Art Kitcreated anything on a computer before, but can print a page from a jpeg file, you can make them.  The art is laid out on letter-sized paper pages and every open space is filled with goodies for you to cut out and use to decorate the pages.

The fun part about these kits as well, is that the pieces that are included can also be used to create greeting cards and gift tags very easily.  I used my left over pieces as matching gift tags and they will be the finishing touch for my gifts.

22 When the time of their purification according to the Law of Moses had been completed, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord"), 24 and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: "a pair of doves or two young pigeons."   NIV

A New Winter Fun Art Kit “Penguins at Play” Clip Art by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

Penguin clip art preview(UPDATE:This kit is now available in the Daisie Store for $5.98.  Click on the first picture to go to the store)  I spent last week painting these whimsical, fun, playful penguins for next week’s art kit release.  They were such fun to do and I’m really looking forward to making a wide variety of three dimensional gift tags with them.  Have you seen the wonderful sets you can find at Costco or Sam’s Club?  They’re beautiful,  but are always a little smooshed and squished when they finally get all the way from the orient to my house.

I love using those kits to festive up my packages, but it also seems like they’re never quite the right color or subject to go with my paper.  Well, this year I’m going to be making my own and because I needed to make some for my family, the rest of you can have a little fun as well 🙂

I’m thinking about buying some simple paper in the colors I want and then actually cutting out and gluing on some of my penguins and snowmen with some jewels and glitter so the entire package becomes a beautiful and coordinated presentation.

penguin clip artEver since I saw the movie "The March of the Penguins" I have fallen in love with these wonderful creatures.  They are so dedicated to their young and endure so much to give them a healthy start in life!  Also, growing up in San Diego, Sea World has a fabulous exhibit called "The Penguin Encounter" so we got to watch them frolic and play by the hour when we went to the park each year.

If you have any suggestions of what other activites you’d like to see penguins in, leave me a comment you guys always have such fun and great ideas.  I’ll have another preview tomorrow of the last part of this kit and maybe a preview of a freebie kit that I’ll make out of it for a Friday Freebie at Daisie Company.

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  Titus 3:3-8   At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.  But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,  he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,  whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,  so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.  This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.   NIV

Gerbera Daisie Instant Scrapbook Album Kit Coming Next Week

(UPDATE: This kit is now available for $9.98 in the Daisie Store.  Just click on the first picture to go to the store)  I have been taking a little break from working on the holidays to create several new "Instant Album" kits.  The first was just uploaded to Daisie for release little girl, baby, princess, tweener gerbera daisie instant scrapbook albumnext week.  The first item created for any product line is incredibly time intensive, especially one that requires instructions and as detailed creative information as these kits have.

Each of my 6" Instant Albums will have 20 pages and between 80-120 pieces to them!  Every single thing you need paper-wise for an album is provided, you simply add the pictures and any dimensional trims or embellishments you want to add.  If you can print, cut out, arrange and glue you can create a magnificent scrapbook for yourself, a family member or as a gift for a birthday, shower or baby’s birth.

beginning scrapbooking easy kit preview, instant albumI include images of my prototype album that you can use for ideas or simply duplicate, whichever creative level you like best!  I have written little notes about what I added, how I added it and ideas for creating your own embellishments.

This type of a kit is absolutely PERFECT for a beginning scrapbooker.  If you’ve been so overwhelmed by walking into a store and seeing a million choices on the shelf that you left the store, you’ll love that I’ve made the choices for you.  However, though they go together, they aren’t "matchy-matchy."  Though this is a digital product (you print the pages off of your own computer), it doesn’t require very much digital skill at all.  If you know how to print off of your printer and you can add text to a page that’s about all the skill that is required.

baby album, tweener album, little girl album previewThere is a complete page of text tags and titles that are geared towards the album’s theme and on this kit, I’ve also given you the same tags without text but ready for you to put your own on them.  There is also a png template that is perfectly shaped for your photos to work in the mats that have been provided.  All you do is drop you photo behind the template in your graphics program, move, size and print  your photos and they are ready for you to cut out and glue in your album.

Additional albums for Wedding and Christmas have been created already and will be released in the next couple of weeks.  Please leave suggestions of any other themes you would like to see an album for.  No guarantees, but you know how often I take your ideas and run with them 🙂

THE PROVERB OF THE DAY:  Prov 24:10-12
If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength!

Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.  If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?  does not he who guards your life know it?  Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?

COMMENTS:  When trouble comes, you don’t have time to get strong, you have to do that when times are good.  A lot of us think we’ll "get spiritual" one day, when we have the time or when we need to, but the reality is that when trouble hits, you will falter if you haven’t strengthened yourself beforehand.

The second part of this proverb tells us that we are indeed our brother’s keeper.  If we see someone being raped or murdered or being oppressed by a mass-murdering tyrant, we do have responsibility before God to do what we can to stop it.  We can convince man that we are innocent but our hearts will either condemn us or not, we can fool everyone but ourselves and God.  Do we step out of our comfort zone to take care of others when it’s needed?  God honors that in our lives and He rewards (for good or for evil) based on the hidden places of the heart.  Hmmmm…. lots to think about!

A Busy Woman’s Approach to Scrapbooking Family Memories by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

If I asked each of you, "Is it important to capture the wonderful moments of your family, document the history of those you have known and loved and share a little bit of your heart with those who will come after you?"  I believe I would hear a giant, resounding "YES!"  If I asked a follow up question and said, "Are you actively doing that in any way?"  I would probably hear a deep sigh and a guilty-sounding "No… I should but I just don’t have the time."

Instant mini album 6" scrapbookI am in exactly your same position as a wife and mother.  As an artist, I have a leg up on you in that I can go to my computer and access close to 1,000 gigabytes of artwork to scrap with, but do I?  Not as often as I would like.  I’ve done more this year than last year and I hope that I will do more yet in 2008.  I’m MAKING TIME (because FINDING time hasn’t seemed to work very well) a little here and a little there.  I’m choosing to take a day that I might go spend in the garden endlessly weeding a patch that will only be filled again with more weeds, to do something instead that will be permanent and even possibly last beyond my lifetime.

Every day we make choices.  Do we clean the cupboards, mop the floors, weed the garden or do something that has some permanence to it?  All of these activities are of course important, but they are not timeless and permanent.  Perhaps we can let our houses go slightly untended for a day so that we can tend to our heritage.  If we stop and think in those terms, perhaps the task will take on a new meaning.

Instant Scrapbook Album for girlsThe second issue that I always hear about scrapbooking is that "I get overwhelmed even thinking about it!"  Do you go into a scrapbooking store and have your eyes glaze in about 30 seconds?  Do you look at all the choices and freeze?  Do you look at a scrapbooking magazine and see fantastic layouts executed by graphic designer geniuses that you know in your heart you could never duplicate and just decide never to start?

I spend a lot of time thinking about who my audience is and what her life looks like.  Most of you are warm, wonderful, extremely busy people with wonderful families, more creativity than the average person (but you don’t think that you’re very creativeat all!) and you love to touch the lives of those around you with tenderness, emotional warmth and beauty.  You make a gift with your hands as a way of showing how much you care and how deeply you love.

My goal in creating each art kit, craft project or scrapbook album is to make it as easy as possible to achieve those goals.  My new "Instant Albums" are designed to make the only thing you have to think about what pictures and occasions you want to document in your scrapbooks.  I’m working at creating kits that work together without necessarily being "matchy-matchy" in look and feel.  When I put them together for you, I want it to be so easy that it’s impossible for you to do a "bad" page!  And I want to do it at a price that is so affordable that you just don’t have any excuse not to get started doing a little at a time!!!

If you’ve never made a scrapbook and given it to someone, you’ve missed one of the most wonderful feelings in the world.  When I made the scrapbook that I gave to Jacqui on her 21st birthday at the beginning of this month, her face lit up with such excitement and joy that I realized I need to do it much more often.  The most interesting thing was that I didn’t put any pictures in it, I just made the album and am having her put the pictures that are most important to her and write her thoughts about that special day.  You know what I discovered?  It was FUN!!!  It wasn’t a burden and it went so fast I couldn’t believe it… maybe if you start a little project like that you’ll discover the special joy of scrapbooking and just might join me in the ranks of the addicted 🙂

Creating a Brag Book Scrapbook for Children or Grandchildren With Digital Clip Art by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

gingerbread man, house, christmas scrapbook brag book kit digital art

(UPDATE: This kit is now available for $6.98 at Daisie.  Simply click on the first picture and it will take you to the store)  Coming next week to the DAISIE COMPANY is the first of many Instant Album kits for creating the perfect brag book for yourself, your mother or grandmother to carry in a purse!  This kit was so much fun to put together.  It brought smiles to my heart every step of the way.  This book’s finished size is 4" x 6" and can easily hold 18-20 pages of photos.

hybrid scrapbook layouts from brag book, christmas, gingerbreadThe kit will be coming to the store next week and will be priced at  only $6.98 for 66 pieces.  There is a PNG format photo template that you simply drop your photos behind and then cut out in the perfect shape and size to coordinate with the colored and patterns mats that are included.  Also included are 3, 8.5 x 11" papers to print the back side of your pages or use for papers in other projects.

scrapbook layout gingerbread house children grandchildrenI’ve intentionally chosen to create this kit as a "hybrid" kit.  If you do not know what that term means, it is a digital kit that you print, cut and then mix together with your trims, ribbons, jewels and other goodies to create a physical layout through normal scrapbooking processes.  Many of you aren’t quite skilled enough yet to do a digital layout, yet you own great graphics and have a desire to scrapbook your memories inexpensively and easily.  Imagine never running out of a favorite paper!  Imagine being able to write your journaling, edit it and print it in a wonderful font to clearly and easily communicate your thoughts and emotions.  Hybrid scrapbooking is the very best of both worlds!  If you have a good scanner, you might even consider creating a hybrid layout and then scanning it to use in a digital album!brag book christmas mother grandmother grandchildren children

I’ve shown an example of how you can also create standard sized scrapbook pages at 8" x 8" or 12" x 12" using the pieces contained in this kit.  If you can print 12" papers, you can buy my matching paper kit and print your own full size scrapbook papers, if not the same kit can be used to print 8" square pages and you can easily make a small album.

Scrapbooks, brag books and kid’s photographs are the absolutely BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER for anyone!  No grandma is too rich to want more pictures of her grandchildren, and no mother ever has enough pictures either!!

I hope you will enjoy this kit as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.

THE PROVERB OF THE DAY: Prov 18:7-10  A fool’s mouth is his undoing,
and his lips are a snare to his soul. The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.  One who is slack in his work
is brother to one who destroys. The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.  NIV

Creating a Special Christmas Contest at DAISIE COMPANY by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

For those of you that are not aware, we have a special contest challenge going at THE DAISIE COMPANY  here’s the link to the instructions:  The goal we had in creating this contest was to get you crafting for Christmas so that you won’t be behind and racing crazily (like I always am) in the last week or two before the holiday 🙂

The prize for the winner in each category is one of my brand new cookbooks that were created for Brownlow Gifts.  See these posts to check them out:   There will also be prizes for the second and third place winners in each category.  The categories are the best of  1. General Craft   2. Scrapbook Layout and 3. Greeting Cards (any greeting card qualifies, doesn’t need to be Christmas).  The only requirement is that your creation could be used as a Christmas Gift (doesn’t have to be Christmas designs) and that you use my digital art kits that can be found here:

If I can figure out how to do it, I’ll try to post some of the creations that are already entered.  I can’t seem to right click and copy them so if any of my wonderful wizard friends at DAISIE could tell me how to do that I’d be very grateful!!!

THE PROVERB OF THE DAY:  Prov 15:7-10  The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools. The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him. The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness. Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die.  NIV

Comments on today’s proverb.  Often times people can feel that the church is full of hypocrites — that we should be perfect before we call others to reach higher, be better and try to live a better life.  I love this particular scripture because it shows how God looks at things.  He doesn’t care so much  that we’re perfect, but that we’re PURSUING righteousness.  He doesn’t want us to do a series of sacrifices or appear good on the outside and still be wicked at the heart,  he loves a pure heart, a tender heart and humble heart.  The prayer of the upright in heart pleases him.  He loves to answer the honest heart — don’t be afraid to ask Him for anything you need and for help for anything that you are facing today!

Memory Trends Scrapbooking Show Opens This Morning! by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

Well… the show opened this morning and I’ve already found two products that I’m going to feature when I get the time to really blog in detail.  One is a beautiful spray on product that tints and pearlizes any product (paper, wood, plastic, and metal).  It makes a card or tag or paper that you’ve printed out have an elegant amazing finish that looks entirely professionally done.

Also, I found a hand scoring system for those of you that do greeting cards and other scored items frequently.  It creates the exact same type of score that Hallmark uses on their cards so you can create zig zag folded greeting cards that really lay flat and will stand up on a table… just AWESOME!!!

Well… I’m on the public email system at the show (internet woes at every turn this trip!!!) so I can ‘t stay on long.  Hopefully I’ll get on again later today and perhaps even get the links up for one of the products I’ve seen.  Keep checking in!

Memory Trends Scrapbook Show Next Week by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

My scraponizerNext Sunday I leave for Las Vegas, NV to attend the "Memory Trends" show.  This show is specifically for Scrapbooking and related crafts.  I’m getting excited to see what’s new in the industry, make some new contacts and probably purchase a new wide-format laser printer if I find a good deal.

I will pick up information on new products and goodies and share it with you as a lot of the companies that are showing will be debuting new lines.  I should be able to blog from my hotel room at Harrah’s (I’m assuming they have wireless available as I didn’t book the room).  Unfortunately, my laptop isn’t set up to handle my digital camera so I won’t be able to post any pictures until I get home, but I’ll do my best to take you along with me!

I am assisting a friend who is teaching a class on organizing scrapping supplies with a new product that I received a sample of yesterday.  It’s called the "Scraponizer," (  The picture is of my decorated set (they don’t come quite so pretty!)  It’s a wonderful set of 4 see through plastic shallow storage compartments that store securely on a shelf and pull down for use.  One is divided in 2 secure compartments, one has 4, one has 6 and one has 8 compartments.  Each compartment won’t leak into the others because of the way it is constructed.

My clean desk!I decorated my boxes yesterday to bring to the show, it was fun to get to take a break from designing for others and play around with organizing my own supplies to go with my newly partially organized studio space!  Fun, fun, fun!

Working on my computer desk yesterday was a joy.  When I cleaned I took time to ask myself these questions and make changes accordingly:

  1. What isn’t working on this desk and why?
  2. What is being stored here that really shouldn’t be and where should I move it?
  3. How can I get more clear desk top space for working?

One of the most innovative things I did to create space was place my oversized printer on top of a formica paper storage unit (strong enough to hold the weight).  It is still very accesible, but now doesn’t make me feel crowded and closed in.  I had tended to use the paper print out tray as a storage space which probably isn’t very good for it and certainly isn’t very efficient!  Now I have paper storage for the various papers I use, as well as storage for art to be scanned.  To its left out of camera range, is a vertical file stacker for current projects to be stored in folders instead of layers on the desk.

Still to be done is the oversized paper mess on the second shelf of my bookcase unit.  I need to build a paper storage unit like the letter size so that the varieties of papers I use can be separated not just piled.  That however, is a project for another day!

Tomorrow I’ll have a preview of my newest Christmas kit that will be coming out next week  "Windows on Christmas"  Come back by for a peek!  Also, the Blog contest is ending on Saturday!  So post away on the comments.

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY: Rom 12:17-19  Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. NIV

close up previews of papersThe final preview shows you close ups of the details of some of the papers.  These are incredibly dimensional looking and very fun to work with.  I hope you’ll enjoy them!

I finally received a call from my husband last night.  He is in the wilds of Idaho near Boise.  There are three fires in his area and the camp is so remote that there isn’t cell service available so I got 5 minutes to talk to him on a land line.  There were 25 guys lined up behind him so we kept it brief as there were 25 families just like ours waiting to hear each loved one’s voice!  Pray for their safety as their camp was on an alert for possible evacuation.  My husband isn’t a fire fighter, just a support staff worker, we are so proud of the fire fighters that lay their lives down every day of one of these wildfires to protect innocent lives and valuable property.  Having lived throught the Southern California fires in 2003 (which came 1200 feet from our home in the middle of the night) I can’t even think about what each of those men and women did for us without crying.  Hugs, love  and prayers to each of them!

THE PROVERB OF THE DAY: Prov 2:6-8  For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly. He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him.  NLT

I absolutely LOVE this tropical paper pack, I am thinking of about a hundred design uses I want to explore with it.  The warm, vibrant pinks, oranges and greens would work well with the teen and younger set and my twenty-something daughters love it too.

Tropical Clip Art Paper Pack Preview, green, orange, pinks.

There are fourteen backgrounds in the pack, all of which coordinate very well together.  There will be at least two more paper packs for this set, one will be in natural tans and sandy tones and another in blues and purples.

Perfectly Peachy Paper Pack has some very fun papers that could be used for wedding, anniversary, little girls, and everyday scrapping or craft uses.

Perfectly Peach Paper Pack PreviewThere are embroiderec dot swirls, scattered rose paterns, a tone on tone scatter rose pattern, distressed and aged patterns as well as some contemporary sketched swirl patterns.  A perfect mix of traditional roses made new with a contemporary flair.  I can’t wait to see what you will do with them!

These paper packs will be available on Friday in the DAISIE COMPANY store.

THE PROVERB FOR THE DAY, PROVERBS 12:14-16 (from The Message)  "Well-spoken words bring satisfaction; well-done work has its own reward.  Fools are headstrong and do what they like, wise people take advice.  Fools have short fuses and explode all too quickly., the prudent quietly shrug off insults."

Summer Clip Art From the Tropics! Beaches, Palm Trees, Beach Chairs… Makes me Want to Play!!! by Audrey Jeanne Roberts

(UPDATE:  This product is now available in THE DAISIE COMPANY STORE.  Just click on either picture and it will take you to the product.)  Okay, today is sneak, sneak peek day!  Here’s one of my sets that will be in the store on Friday, the other is "Perfectly Peachy 2."

Tropical Breeze 1 clip art kit, beaches, palm trees, beach chairs and more

This art isn’t just for scrapbooking tropical vacations or cruises!  It is extremely versatile and can be used for any summer craft purpose.  There are beach chairs, beach umbrellas, palm trees, water-inspired backgrounds, and so much more that could be used to create party invitations, greeting cards, party table decorations… you supply the imagination and I have supplied the art that can bring it to life!

My daughters’ bathroom is in a tropical feel and I’m going to surprise her by creating some iron on patches that I’ll stitch to her guest towels, perhaps with a "Welcome" sign in tiki lettering.  I’m going to have some fun playing with this, with my girls in mind (shhhh… don’t tell them!)  I’m probably safe, I can’t get my kids to read "Mom’s blog" very often anyway!

There are seven assorted backgrounds in this kit and I have created a ton more of them that will be released as coordinating paper packs.  The tiki lettering kit isn’t finished yet, but will be out soon to allow you to write any message you want in bamboo, large sized letters.  In addition, there will be a pre-assembled title page that will be geared towards vacations and cruises.

My daughters are especially loving these kits (they’re 20 somethings!) and having been born and raised in San Diego, love anything related to the beach!

I’ve created some quick page duos that will be coming out next week and I’ll preview them in the next day or so.  Even if you don’t buy the quick pages, they can be very helpful to show you how you might combine some of the elements in your own projects and I never mind you "borrowing" some inspiration!  Have fun, summer is only 9 days away!!!!
