First Month’s Drawing for a $5 Gift Certificate Will be Held August 1st.

There are now two ways you can win by stopping by my blog.  The first is our twice-monthly blog comments drawing and the second is a drawing that will be held every month from those who have made a purchase in the blog store!

I’m going to make each of those prizes a $5 gift certificate from now on.  This will allow the individual who wins the greatest freedom in what they select.

I can’t believe the store’s been up for almost a full month already!  You have made it such an amazing blessing and success so quickly.  Thanks to each of you!

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY: Ps 18:28-29  You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.  With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.  NIV

PRAYER:  Sometimes Lord, my days are so long and exhausting that I’m not sure how I will get through them.  In the days of the scripture, if you ran out of oil you wouldn’t be able to work any longer or see where you were going.  I love this verse’s promise that you will keep my lamp burning and you will help me tackle the challenges that are set before me.

Every wall that gets in my way can be gone over or around if I trust in, listen to and obey your word. Elsewhere your word says that your word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path.  Shine your light like a powerful flashlight in front of me to show me the way you want me to go.  Give me victory in every area of my life Lord, that I might bring Glory and Honor to you.  AMEN

The seventh post on THIS DAY’S BLOG POST (link here)

Congratulations to the winner!  Hmmmm…. she has so many of my sets that she might have to wait until the next new one comes out to claim her prize :-)!

If you don’t know, I have a blog contest drawing twice a month and all you have to do to enter is post a comment on any day from the 1st – 15th, or the 16th – 31st and you have entered the contest.  A number for the day of the post then is drawn at random and a number for the comment and that individual wins one of my kits for free.  The kit given away varies each time and if you already own that kit I will always substitute it for another.

Also, this is a great time to remind you all that I have a new contest each month that will be drawn from everyone that purchases an item in my store.  It will be drawn on or around the first of the month from the previous month’s sales.  You don’t have to do anything special to enter.

hand lettered fontSo I thought it would be fun to give away a prize to the person who posts a comment closest to the 200,000 mark.  I’m going to watch the board and look at the comments coming in and the winner will get a brand new font (personal use version) that I’m working on today.  I’ve spent the last couple of days creating several new and interesting fonts.  The one I’ll give away is called "AJR Simple Times 4"  It’s a fun, topsy-turvy hand lettered font that would be great for a lot of uses.  I’ll post a pic in a few minutes but wanted to get this notice up for the last second contest!

There’s no limit to the # of comments you can make so go for it!

The 8th day, the 5th post. was the winner chosen this morning.  Congratulations to her!!!

I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to write or to get any kits going, but my agent has some great meetings in Atlanta!  We’ll see what happens down the line, thanks for those of you that were praying, keep it up !

I hope to have my whimsical font and kit #2 on "My Heart’s Garden" up for next week.  I’ll get previews for you as soon as I can.  Have a great day and keep posting for the next contest at the end of the month.  All you have to do to enter the contest that has 2 winners a month is post a comment on any day and if that day and that # comment is drawn you’re the winner.

I am soooooo Bad! I Forgot the Contest Drawing!

Someone reminded me today that I had forgotten to do the drawing.  OH MY!!!  So the blog contest winner is the 7th comment on the 29th day.  Congratulations!  I know that this particular person has a lot of my kits so she will win her choice of one of my kits, so all she has to do is let me know and I’ll send it her way (or she can choose the next kit that is coming which is for Valentine’s Day).

I am working on some new art for Valentine’s day so I hope to have some previews up for your early this week.  Keep checking in!  Also, those of you that pray, my agent has some very important meetings scheduled this month that I have been preparing product mockups for so throw up a prayer for me, okay?!

We should have snow by tonight or Sunday (yippee!!!!)  If we get a good one I’ll post some pictures.  Our high Sierra are supposed to get 7-10 FEET of snow or more out of this series of storms.  That’s especially good for our water replenishment from the drought we’ve been in, but it could be devestating to Southern California with its naked hillsides after the fires.  The heat of a fire as intense as these were actually "fires" the soil a bit so that it doesn’t absorb water as it normally does so the danger of flash floods and mud slides are much higher than normal.  For my friends in So. Cal, keep safe.

The Free Digital Clip Art Blog Contest Winner for November is…

Digital Christmas Card Kit Gingerbread ChristmasThe 16th day, the 14th comment!  Congratulations to the winner.  She wins my new Gingerbread Christmas Card Set shown at left.  We had a tremendously fun time yesterday at the crop.

THE CHRISTMAS STORY:Luke 1:45-56

The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise
46 Mary responded,

"Oh, how I praise the Lord.
47 How I rejoice in God my Savior!
48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl,
and now generation after generation
will call me blessed.
49 For he, the Mighty One, is holy,
and he has done great things for me.
50 His mercy goes on from generation to generation,
to all who fear him.
51 His mighty arm does tremendous things!
How he scatters the proud and haughty ones!
52 He has taken princes from their thrones
and exalted the lowly.
53 He has satisfied the hungry with good things
and sent the rich away with empty hands.
54 And how he has helped his servant Israel!
He has not forgotten his promise to be merciful.
55 For he promised our ancestors–Abraham and his children–
to be merciful to them forever."

56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.  NLT

Blog Contest Freebie Winner is… and Additional Previews of Build Your Own Snowman Digital Clip Art Kit

First things first… the winner is…. the 5th comment on the 25th day of the month (so you’ll have to go peek to find out!)  LOL!  Congratulations to the winner, she wins my new bow top gift box set, "Warm Your Heart Gift Set 1"  It should be in the store tomorrow!

Here are the final additional previews of the "Build Your Own Snowman" kit.  I added 20 pieces since yesterday as I worked with the pieces to make certain that they work easily and effectively together I realized I needed some more goodies, that brought the size to a 69 piece set!!!

I added the victorian cape, hat, mitten and scarf set and decided that it would be easiest for you guys to work with if I separated the heads from the bodies for two reasons, first you can create just heads to use on stickers and other smaller uses items and secondly, it’s much easier to add elements at the neck when your head is separated from the body, you can tuck the scarf behind the head the way it actually happens in life.

Back to work on projects for my other "day job," I’m creating mock up product designs to update my portfolio, yesterday I created a bedding set that my daughter desperately wants for her room, must find a mfg. to make it or there will be no living with her!!!

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  2 Cor 2:14-16  But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.  NIV

COMMENT: I thought I would pick some scriptures regarding giving thanks as we move into November.  This scripture basically is the image of a parade, a victory celebration of a victorious army with Christ at our head as leader.  God leads us in a victorious life (remember this though… true victory means a battle occurred, you overcome struggles and difficulties 🙂 )  The second image is of the incredible aroma of a feast (like a Thanksgiving dinner) that just makes your mouth water and your tummy rumble.  The Lord wants his life to be so real in our lives that just our presence makes people hungry to know more about Him.  An aroma is a silent testimony in a way… it fills the air because of your presence and Christ’s presence in you.   "Lord, please make my life a silent witness of the joy of living in Christ Jesus and help those who are hungry for change follow that fragrance right to you!"

Building a Snowman With Out Getting Cold…

is easy with this brand new digital clip art kit!  Audrey Jeanne’s Build Your Own Snowman Kit 1 will hit the Daisie store next week.  It has a few blank snow Build your own snowman setpeople and a snow dog, cat and teddy bear to dress up!  (UPDATE:  This kit is now available for $7.98 in the Daisie store.  Click on the first picture to go there)

Hats, mittens, scarves, angel wings and halos are all included.  If you have simple digital skills like enlarge, decrease and turn you can make an unlimited amount of your own snowmen and snow scenes.

I’ve created a snow scene using this kit and the other Snowman kit that will be coming out next week combined ("Snowmen Warm Your Preview 2 Build Your Own SnowmanHeart.")  That image is below.  The background and snowbank are included in the Build Your Own Snowman Kit.

I made six different snow people out of this kit to test the ease of creating with it and will probably release them as a mini kit for anyone who doesn’t want to take the time to do it themselves (or for those of you that would like to see what they look like and then buy the kit to make them yourselves!)

sample scene made with two Snowman kitsThe best part of this kit is NO COLD HANDS!!!!

Today is the last day to enter the "Creating a Special Christmas Contest" at Daisie, see the post below for details, so if you have a project in the works get it posted and you just might be a winner!

Two Contests End Tomorrow at Midnight

The first is my usual twice a month "Random Drawing blog comments contest" (all you have to do is write a comment on any or all posts from the 15th through the 31st to enter).  The set that I featured yesterday will be the prize so if you love snowmen, get typing!

The second contest has been running for almost six weeks now at THE DAISIE COMPANY and is called "The Creating a Special Christmas Contest."  The basic rules are that you 1. Use my art to create your project  2.  Your project could be used as a Christmas or other gift (doesn’t have to be given away or be Christmas themed)  3. Your project fit into one of the three categories, crafts, scrapbooking or cards.  So far as of this morning there were 141 incredible entries!!!  I am so amazed and so terrified to have to judge them (along with my judging crew)  To see the entries here’s the link: http://www.daisiecompany.com/galleries/showgallery.php/cat/711

We will begin the judging the morning of November 1st and will announce the winners as soon as we come to an agreement.  There will be three prizes in each category and some extra prizes for special merit pieces.  There will also be a little something special for everyone who entered.  I’m so blessed and excited at how many entries we have in the contest, it already is more than double the entries we had for my first contest in January/February of this year.  Thanks to all you who have participated!

THE SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  Eph 4:1-4  As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  NIV
COMMENT:  I love this particular verse for its powerful simplicity.  When the scripture tells us to "be" something it means you can do it so go do it!  Make a choice and choose to act in the manner you’ve been instructed.  "Be patient" not when you feel patient go act like it!  Also this scripture shows us that it takes effort to remain in unity.  Every group, family, business or church goes through difficult times where its members struggle with each other, however if we all were to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace, we’d have a much happier and contented life!
