I’ve Been “Terrified” to Say it Out Loud…

for fear something will happen AGAIN and I won’t get to see my grandson, but we’re going to San Diego tomorrow!!!!!  Yippee!!!!  No one has the sniffles, the car(s) are running, the puppy has a place to stay for the weekend… what else haven’t I thought of?!

We’re so excited to finally get our hands on our little bundle of joy.   Well… I’m assured he’s already over 11 pounds so I’m not sure how little his bundle is.  It’s hard to believe he’s already 5 weeks old.  So, I won’t be writing much over the weekend, but I will be enjoying myself immensely and taking lots of pictures.

I got my cruise pictures back but haven’t had time to sort through and post some.  I’ll probably do both when I get back.  I’m trying to rush out a couple of kits for the next week or so.  I ‘ve been working on two new add-ons for "Paper Flowers Collection."  Ideally they’ll be waiting for Lynnie to upload before I leave, if not as soon as I get home Tuesday they’ll be in the works.

Our son comes in from Dallas tonight.  We are looking forward to spending some quality time with him and actually all four of our children at one time in one place.  Something that is harder and harder to accomplish the older they all grow 🙂

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:  Prov 17:6  Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.  NIV

PRAYER:  Lord, I don’t feel very "aged" even though I’m now a grandmother!  Well… if I’m being honest, there are some mornings when I might feel my age a little more than others.  Life has gone so fast and it brings to mind how much faster my latter years will likely pass than even my earlier years.  Please help me to be aware of ways I can be a blessing to my children and "children’s children."  Remind me to pray for them, to call them and to be a presence for blessing in their daily lives.  Let me be the kind of mother and grandmother that truly is the pride of my children.  AMEN

  1. Have a great time! Don’t forget to fill the car up with gas. Did you have a gold bar to pay for it?

  2. Oh, I hope you have a great time with all your children together and of course with the new grandbaby!!!! Hope you can see him really good now.

  3. I do hope you enjoy your little grandson AJ and seeing all your children will be a boon too. Hope we can enjoy seeing some of the photos you will take of the little one when you return. Take care on your journey and have fun.

  4. I know you had a wonderful time with your new grandbaby, AJ! And counting the days till you get to visit again.

I love what you said about time passing so quickly. I remember when my now 15 year old daughter was just a baby and I mentioned to an elderly relative that I couldn’t wait for her to talk and walk. This gentle lady gave me a piece of advice I’ve never forgotten. And that is to not wish my daughter’s life away. Enjoy every second and love every new thing she accomplishes. I’ve tried to apply that to my own life and enjoy all that life and God sends my way. Blessings to you and yours!

  5. SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – I have been searching for this scripture for years.

I could not find it, including using on-line Bible searches.

Thank you AJ!!!!!!!!!!!! (I use the PC Study Bible and have found it just fabulous for locating verses when I only remember a snippet or a word. It will search through the 10-12 versions it supports and I ususally can locate it that way then pick the version I like the best. Mine is a Pastor’s level program that was about $600 but I know they have lesser expensive programs for people that don’t need all the libraries of commentaries etc. I can’t recommend it more!!!! AJ)
