Last night I went over 90,000 hits on my blog (Wow! I’m still so amazed that anyone wants to read my rambling!) So it got me thinking and I decided to do a fun contest looking forward to my 100,000th hit. It’s very simple, all you have to do is post the day and time you think that we’ll cross that threshold and the person who is closest will win any kit out of my catalog at THE DAISIE COMPANY that they would like! How’s that for fun?
Now I’ll give you some hints to help you guess better. On a really slow day I’ll have a little over 300 people come by, but yesterday there were 864. If my Aunt Nancy links to me in the next two weeks I’ll have 2500 hits in a day. Sooooo…. it’s going to take a lot of luck to get it just right. Only one guess per person though so make it a good one!
I’ll also have a prize for a random comment poster on the day that I hit 100,000 so keep up the posting of comments. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy reading your feedback, especially when you have questions or make really thoughtful comments on my posts. It keeps me loving writing here. Have a great day!
THE PROVERB OF THE DAY: Prov 23:10-12 Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you. Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge. NIV
Throughout the scriptures God shows tremendous compassion for the widow, the fatherless and the poor. He continually states that He desires not so much "religious" acts to get His approval such as public fasting and prayer, but that we turn our attention to those less fortunate around us and show our love for God by loving His hurting children. Jesus even said, "He who does it for the least of these, my brethren, does it unto me." (Audrey’s paraphrased version!)by
