Gives one a lot to think about. I am reading a book now called “You can Heal Your Life”. It talks about how only you can change your life or make yourself happy. No one else can do it for you.

I, too have suffered through many of the losses you referred to. I once decided that there really wasn’t an “Ann” anymore, just “so and so’s Mom, wife, daughter, etc. I am in an almost constant struggle to find out who Ann is. Maybe, I have been looking in the wrong places.

Thanks for the reminder of where our worth comes from. I tend to define myself by my job and my skills that always impress people-even though they really are not that great-I just have had a little more practice and am willing to try.

I need to come up with a way to remind myself that they are not what is important but instead the fact that God chose me as one of His own is the most important.

What an eye opener, AJ. Having experienced several of the losses you mentioned above, it all makes sense. I used to wonder why I was so much more at peace when I was active at church. For being a semi-intelligent woman, you would think I would have figured that out already. Goes to show, you really do learn something new every darn day!
