AJ, once again you have hit the nail right on the head! I remember 25 (or so) years ago, when I first signed my three girls up to play softball for the local community. I was surprised, shocked and confused at the "trophy fee" that was due. It seems that the parents bought every child on the team a trophy. I thought that trophies were a symbol of something earned that was special. I earned one myself in the 5th grade and was so very proud of it. I have boxes of the girls' trophies that don't mean a thing to them because they were bought and not won.
